What Social Bookmarking and/or Web 2.0 Sites Do You Use?

April 26, 2008

I have to be honest. Social bookmarking, Web 2.0 and all of that are things I’ve really only scratched the surface on. I understand the principle, but I know I need to learn more. If I’m to be an effective trading educator, after all, I have to be where the new traders are hanging out. Can’t help too many people if I’m teaching in the empty wilderness, now can I? :-)

The thing that brought this all to the front of my mind was what happened with my The Secret to Trading Success post the other day. Apparently at least one person was sufficiently impressed by what I’d said to flag it on StumbleUpon. In a couple of days there was over 600 visits to the site based on that flagging (Edit: It’s now over 1000). I understand that’s not a huge number and that bloggers have seen thousands of page views coming from Digg and sites like that when readers have ‘dugg’ their stories.

So the question I have for you, gentle reader, is what social/web 2.0 sites do you frequent, if any?

You may notice I have added buttons for posts to be submitted to Bloglines, Del.icio.us, Digg, Facebook, Google Bookmarks, StumbleUpon, Technorati, and Yahoo My Web at the bottom of this entry (and all others). That’s if you are looking at it on the actual page. If you’re viewing it through the RSS feed you’ll see a similar set of links.

Am I missing any? Where do all the cool traders hang out? :-)

Do not know what you are looking for and I to am a little behind the times.

Yahoo has Yahoo Groups where you can have book marks, files, and messages.
Anyone can start a group. Groups can be public or provate. (It is free.)

    bye….
